Farm Aid 2013
at Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, NY, on September 21st
, will be a celebration of the positive, sustainable future that family farmers are growing through their hard work every day. While the music on the stage is a tremendous draw, artists and family farmers share the spotlight at Farm Aid! Our HOMEGROWN Concessions® will be offered throughout the venue, allowing concertgoers to enjoy good food from family farms. HOMEGROWN Concessions are made with ingredients that are sustainably produced by family farmers and identified as local, organic, non-GMO, humanely raised, or utilizing other ecological practices, along with a commitment to a fair price for producers. In the HOMEGROWN Village, concertgoers will engage in hands-on activities and get a chance to meet farmers, dig in, and learn about the ways family farmers are enriching our soil, protecting our water, strengthening our communities and bringing us good food for good health.
On show day and every day of the year, Farm Aid works to bring together farmers and eaters to transform our food system. Family farmers are rebuilding local and regional food systems, re-energizing the economy, taking care of our natural resources, and growing the good food we need for healthy people and communities. When you eat healthful food grown by family farmers, you know what you’re getting – honest, real food grown by people who care for the land, their community and their future.
