About Boudreau Herb Farm

At Boudreau Herb Farm, Jo Anne Boudreau produces a variety of organic products, including vegetables, culinary and medicinal herbs, fruits, eggs, and goat milk, that are available for purchase straight from the farm and via mail order. Jo Anne has been farming organically for her entire life and it's a method of agriculture that's been in her family for years. As she says, "it goes back lifetimes." Her father and grandfather were organic farmers and her grandmother was the town healer.

Her vegetables include the standard garden varieties such as tomatoes, beets, radishes, and much more. Similarly, the farm features an assortment of fruits, such as persimmons, pears, and pomegranates. Be sure to contact the farm to see what's in season and get a full run down on when everything should be available.

The eggs come from pastured layer hens. According to Jo Anne, that's the only way to raise chickens. The chickens roam about and do a stupendous job of pest control, helping to keep the gardens bug and insect free. The goats too are always out on pasture and supply the farm with fresh, raw milk from late spring through fall. The milk is ideal for kefir, yogurt, and ice cream, "the best ice cream in the world."

Customers are welcome to call or just drop by the farm, located just six miles north of Mineral Wells on Hwy 281. Farm hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 10am to 5pm. Mail order is available and is quite popular. Products have been shipped all across the nation, from upstate New York to California to West Virginia and Florida.
