Oneida Nation Farm
About Oneida Nation Farm
The Oneida Nation Farms was originally started in 1978, and was then known as the Iroquois Farm. The Iroquois farm consisted of approximately 150 acres and 25 head of cattle. The Farm operation currently consists of 7,000 acres of which 3,000 of these are tillable, the remaining 4,000 acres are in various Conservation programs and Wildlife Restoration. The lands are located in various sites throughout the reservation. The farm herd currently consists of approximately 400 black Angus steers and 99 Buffalo. The wholesale end of the business sells the natural black Angus beef "on the hoof" to local processing and meat markets, while the retail end sells processed beef by quarters, halves, and by individually wrapped items. We also offer Employee PayRoll Deductions for anyone that works for the Oneida Tribe. This allows many of the community members to buy a larger quantity of beef, and thus greatly increases their savings, without having to have the money up-front.
