Nestled at the base of a mountain on 72 acres of wildflowers, aspen and pine, Spirit Mountain Ranch bed and breakfast consists of a 6,000 square foot timber framed inn, a barn with stables to accommodate four horses, and "The Barn." "The Barn," built by hand in the traditional straw/haybale style, is home to many special cooking demonstrations as well as the center of other entertainment and activities. The ranch is a beautiful escape for a variety of events including corporate retreats, artist weekends, local book clubs, and cooking seminars. The organic garden provides many fresh ingredients for their award winning breakfasts, and they support local farmers and suppliers in the area. They also compost and use a drip irrigation system from the natural spring for much of the garden and landscape areas. The bed and breakfast includes a full continental breakfast, featuring homemade granola and other cereal choices, freshly baked muffins, scones, breads or coffee cakes, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice and endless coffee and tea. Within the lodge there are recycling bins, energy efficient appliances and digital set back thermostats. There are also low flush toilets and water saving European shower heads in all of the bathrooms. The entire property is non smoking. They use all no phosphate detergents, bulk organic soaps and shampoos and line dry linens when possible. There is compact fluorescent bulb and LED lighting throughout, and they of course use biodegradable natural products for cleaning.
