Seasonal farm market offering a wide variety of garden plants and perennials, locally grown fresh produce, gifts and an in-store bakery. The Ayres family have been farmers for over 30 years. They grow high quality berries, sweet corn, pumpkins, gourds, hay, straw, soy beans and wheat in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of central New York. As stewards of the land, they practice no till and zone tillage on all our acres, and use Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices to minimize the use of pesticides to insure the highest quality in everything we produce. They have been using zone tillage and no till for over 13 years to build soil health, and the farm is often a stop on farm tours showcasing good soil health practices. George is often asked to speak at farmer meetings about zone tillage and good soil health. They have also been growing cover crops on fields after regular crops are harvested. Cover crops, like oats, rye, tillage radishes, and clover protect the soil, recover left over nutrients, and build soil organic matter. They believe cover crops are the heart of successful no till agricultural production.
