About Dolcezza Gelato
Dolcezza Gelato is a little gelateria serving gelato and coffee in four D.C. area cafes and at downtown farmers' markets. Dolcezza is dedicated to creating the most exquisite, seasonal gelato possible, focused on supporting the local food movement by working alongside farmers, artisans, butchers, bakers, friends and family who are all about making things with care and craftsmanship. Their milk and cream are procured the same day it is bottled from the Perry brothers in York, Pennsylvania; they grind Virginia peanuts to make their own peanut butter; they work with strawberries only 4 to 5 weeks per year; and they constantly tweak their recipes based on where the fruit is throughout the season.
