So they use only certified organic ingredients, which protect your body from harmful pesticides and keep pollutants away from plants, animals, and waterways. They also buy locally grown ingredients whenever possible. Because the tomato on your Mother Trucker burger shouldn't have to travel 2,000 miles just for lunch. Serving you fresh, organic food isn't enough. Green Truck believes that a healthy environment is essential to healthy living. The vegetable oil they use in cooking their food is used to power the food trucks the next day. Their commissary kitchen is solar-powered. And if it's a really sunny day and they've generated more energy than needed, they give it back to the grid. All of their packaging and utensils are either recyclable or compostable and their utensils, in fact, are made out of potato starch. The packaging and utensils they compost are delivered back to the farms from which they source ingredients. In turn, the compost is used to grow more food. It's a circle of life sort of thing.
