About Springworks Farm

Springworks Farm is a collective of family and friends attempting to change the way that food is grown and thought about. They utilize aquaponics to produce lettuce, basil, mizuna and other edible plants. Growing fresh food year round, they operate one of the largest aquaponic systems in the US and the first organically certified aquaponic farm in New England. Their practices are pesticide-free and utilize 90% less water and 10% less space as compared with traditional agriculture operations.

Beyond harvesting produce at their farm, Springworks' goal is to connect people with sustainable forms of agricultural at a personal level. They designed the Microfarm aquaponic system, a year round organic garden that eliminates weeding, frequent watering, and is a great educational tool. Through collaboration with the non-profit Cultivating Action, Microfarms are placed in local schools, allowing students to experience agriculture in the classroom all year long.

In addition to their aquaponics-grown produce, Springworks also has a farm stand, open June - October. Please call ahead before stopping by!
