Since 1981 Alex and Betsy have been growing the finest quality cut flowers, small fruits, and vegetables for the Triangle market while also raising heritage Thanksgiving turkeys. Developing a sustainable farming system using the most environmentally responsible methods and materials has been a guiding principle from the beginning. Alex and Betsy are both full time farmers. The farm is situated on the banks of the Haw River, in the Eli Whitney community in southern Alamance County. Members of the Carrboro Farmers' Market since 1986, they are committed to building a local food system. While the Carrboro Farmers' Market is the major outlet, their products are also available at other local retail outlets.
