Spring Street Natural Restaurant was founded in 1973 in the heart of SoHo. The Restaurant quickly became a neighborhood fixture, serving up fresh, healthy cuisine at affordable prices to local denizens. In 1985 Spring Street Natural moved east to the corner of Spring and Lafayette. Tripling their space and adding abundant sunlight and windows, Spring Street Natural blossomed at this new corner location along with the surrounding area in what has become a vibrant neighborhood on the convergent edge of SoHo and NoLita. Their philosophy from the beginning has been to serve whole natural foods that are minimally processed. Wherever possible they produce their items in house from fresh natural ingredients, from organic whole wheat flower pie crusts to house made breads, fresh pasta, organic seitan and free range chicken sausages. Spring Street Natural makes the effort to ensure their produce and grains are certified organic, whenever possible. All poultry is free range and naturally farmed without hormones. They are now in our fourth decade of serving healthy natural cuisine and still going strong, offering a wide range of choices, from completely vegan macrobiotic plate to sandwiches, salads, and innovative entrees with vegetarian, seafood and poultry choices.
