Cavendish Game Birds
About Cavendish Game Birds
Founded in 1988,Cavendish Game Birds, Inc. produces all-natural quail and pheasant in the Green Mountains of Vermont. The farm is owned and operated by two brothers, Bill and Rick Johnson, and their families. The Johnsons began their business with pheasant and continue to supply large, well-developed birds of the traditional ringneck variety. All of the pheasants are reared in open, stress-free outdoor pens. The quail have been selectively bred to be robust and tender. While most quail available dresses to 4-5 ounces, Cavendish quail will average 7 ounces. The weight is achieved in less than 7 weeks which results in tender eating quality. Please note that while the pheasants are considered free-range, the quail is not. Cavendish Game Birds also raises guinea hens and squab. All products from Cavendish Game Birds are packed in Cryovac bags for optimum shelf life. Fresh product should be consumed within 5 days after receipt. Frozen product will remain in good eating condition for up to 6 months.Near This Listing
