About 50 beefalo roam the 75 plus acres of Lick Springs Farm, managed by Hal and Joyce Davis. Beefalo are a cross between bison (American buffalo) and domestic cattle which produces meat that is low in fat and cholesterol. Lick Springs beefalo are 100% grass-fed, added hormone- and antibiotic-free, and pasture raised start to finish. Organic guidelines and practices are employed. All cuts are available, either at the on-site Farm Store (by appointment), or local Farmers' Markets:In winter: Saturdays at the Saratoga Farmers' Market, Tuesdays at the Glens Falls market. May-November: Wednesdays at the Saratoga Farmers' Market Pavilion, Monday afternoons at the Queensbury Farmers' Market, and Saturdays at the Green Falls Farmers' Market.
