A disciple of Alice Waters, Chef Michael Tusk does much to honor his culinary heritage. A substantial portion of the regional Italian-themed menu at Quince is supplied by small scale, sustainable California farmers whom Tusk knows personally. The fresh, wholesome ingredients married to Tusk's cookery has resulted in what critics call simple yet luxurious, pristine, and divine fare. Situated in a historic Victorian building in a quiet, residential neighborhood, Quince is rather small, with only 15 tables to spare. Reservations are required. Open for dinner.
