Georgia Organics
About Georgia Organics
Working to make healthy, sustainable, and locally grown food available to all Georgians is the mission of Georgia Organics—the only nonprofit organization in the state supporting sustainable and organic agriculture. With its organizational roots in the 1970s as a growers’ association, Georgia Organics has since grown to over 700 members: farmers, backyard growers, chefs, agricultural professionals, businesses and dedicated consumers who care about where their food comes from and how it was raised. The organization offers educational programs for both farmers and consumers: farm tours, an annual conference, technical growing workshops, chef-hosted dinners, facilitates a farmer-to-farmer mentoring program, distributes educational materials such as the Fundamental of Organic Farming and Gardening curriculum, and publishes a quarterly newsletter. Georgia Organics is a non-profit, membership organization that relies on members for volunteer and financial support. Please visit www.georgiaorganics.org for more information.Near This Listing
