Inn at Baldwin Creek
About Inn at Baldwin Creek
The Inn at Baldwin Creek radiates the warmth and charm of our historic 1797 Vermont farmhouse bed and breakfast inn. Our five cozy guest rooms are tastefully decorated to surround you in simple comfort. All bedrooms feature queen or king beds with luxurious linens and down comforters. Two of the Inn's rooms are equipped with easy to operate gas fired wood stoves to ward off the winter chill and to set the romantic mood year-round. The rooms all have private baths, some with claw foot tub and one with whirlpool tub. A three-course gourmet breakfast is included with your stay and is served daily from 8:30 - 9:30. If you need to leave early you may request a continental breakfast beginning at 7:30. Complimentary afternoon refreshments are available from 3:00 - 4:30 to tide you over until dinner. This late afternoon offering may consist of chocolate chip cookies, local Vermont cheese and crackers, blackberry scones or apple-cheddar cheese fondue. Hot tea or coffee, steaming cocoa or mulled Vermont apple cider may accompany your afternoon snack. Dinner is available at the Inn's on-site restaurant, Mary's Restaurant. Farm-fresh food from both the Inn's own gardens and small, local farms establish the framework upon which Mary's culinary magic is built. An integral part of Mary's culinary mission is its connection with the Vermont Fresh Network. Doug, one of the Inn's owners, was a founding member and first President of this statewide organization committed to building innovative partnerships among farmers, chefs and consumers to strengthen Vermont's agriculture. The Vermont Fresh Network helps Vermont farms and restaurants team up to provide the freshest local food at restaurants. Room amenities include fluffy bathrobes, shampoo and soap, hair dryer, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, alarm clock radio, CD player, wireless internet connection via wandering WiFi and air conditioning. Some of our rooms have a VCR-television with a selection of new and old movies. There is a comfortable common room on the main floor for conversation and reading. Board games, books and current magazines are available in the common room for guest use.Near This Listing
