Hogan's Magnolia View Farm
About Hogan's Magnolia View Farm
Hogan's Magnolia View Farm has been managed by the same family for over 200 years. The current farmers, Robert and Ann Hogan, raise grass-fed cattle out on pasture year-round and offer the beef in a range of cuts straight from the farm. The cattle are a Hereford/Red Devon cross. Red Devon cattle, a heritage breed that originated in New Zealand, are known for their ability to efficiently utilize grass and other forages, quickly converting the fiber to muscle. In fact, in Britain, Red Devons are called "the Beef Breed Supreme at Grass." As a result of all the fiber, many grass-fed meats can be tough and especially lean and feature an herbal taste. Not so for Red Devons. Their unique efficiency on grass also brings a unique, less herbal flavor to a meat that's less lean and easier to cut and chew. Robert is a professional farmer. He graduated with a degree in Animal Husbandry from NC State and is a registered farmer with the state of North Carolina. All beef from Hogan Magnolia View Farm is processed at a state registered facility. The beef is entirely grass-fed; the cattle are not finished on grain. Beef is sold packaged and frozen from the farm and is available year-round. Customers can call or email anytime to place an order.Near This Listing
