Dove Song Dairy is an old-fashioned family farm, located in the rolling hills of Berks County, Pennsylvania. Our farm, which dates back to the colonial era, uses a modern day milking facility we designed to ensure quality conditions for our milk and comfort for our animals. Our 300 goats, made up of mostly Alpines, with a sprinkling of Saanans, Nubians and LaManchas are individually named and enjoyed by friends and family alike. Our herd is accredited TB and Brucellosis free. It is also a closed herd meaning we do not bring any new animals on the premises since they could have an illness. We believe in a natural approach to animal husbandry. Our dairy goats are raised free range. Since we feed our goats our own special ration with lots of vitamins and minerals and no animal bi-products, medication is rarely needed, and we do not add hormones to increase milk production. So if you're tired of over processed, harshly flavored milk, give ours a try. With its fresh, rich and creamy flavor, you'll agree it's the best tasting available. Raw goat cheeses include fresh mozzarella, ricotta, and cheddar. None of the cheeses are heated above 102°F, thereby keeping essential and healthy enzymes intact. Cheeses are also available from local natural food stores and can be shipped. The we hand-make at our farm is made with our own raw goat milk and all natural ingredients. We use pure vegetable oils, essential oils and herbs, spices and flowers to make our soap. We even add glycerin and vitamin E for extra nourishment. It doesn't contain harsh chemicals, artificial dyes or artificial fragrances that could irritate or dry out your skin. Our soap will not only cleanse, but leave your whole body incredibly soft and smooth.
