My specialty is growing and finishing lambs on pasture and pasture alone for custom butchering. Eating grass is the natural way for sheep. Many grain-fed sheep and entire sheep breeds have lost the ability to maintain themselves on grass due to industrialized, factory-style meat production (feed lots). Another contributing factor have been sheep shows that favor sheep with long legs but no gut, which would allow them to thrive on forage. My lambs are also guaranteed to be antibiotic- and hormone free. I feel it is a nice thing to know what is in the food, or better said in this case, what is not in the food. Lambs are grown for 5 to 6 months to a size of 80+ lbs and are custom butchered at a USDA inspected facility. The meat is then cut to the customers' specifications, vacuum wrapped, labeled and frozen. I sell whole lambs (about 40+ lbs butchered and about 30 lbs processed) and halves (about 20+ lbs butchered). Lambs can be picked up or delivered if the customer lives in close proximity.
