Walnut Grove Farm is owned and operated by the Roebuck Family, who have been farming for over 50 years. Today, Walnut Grove Farm specializes in all-natural produce, grown without pesticides or herbicides, as well as 100% grass and hay fed beef, pasture-raised on fields that have been chemical-free for 25 years. Limited amounts of pasture-raised pork and organic eggs are also available. The cattle that provide the natural beef are a heritage breed known for very lean meat. In fact, they have only 2% total fat and 1% saturated fat, which makes eating it as healthy as eating chicken or fish! The flesh of Belted Galloway beef is exceptionally tender, full of flavor and juicy. Additionally, the beef cattle are not given any animal by-products, antibiotics or hormone additives. Walnut Grove Farm operates a CSA, through which local residents can receive weekly shares of produce. Pasture-raised beef and pork, cage-free eggs, breads, jams, pies and other homemade treats can be purchased either as an addition to the weekly share or by themselves.
