About Beaver Brook Farm

Welcome to Sankow's Beaver Brook Farm, a 175-acre sheep and cow farm located in the Pleasant Valley section of Lyme, CT. Stan and Suzanne Sankow began working Beaver Brook Farm as a dairy farm in 1917 and in 1984, the Sankows introduced their first sheep, Sherry and Ding, to the farm. Now, Beaver Brook Farm is home to more than 600 sheep, some cows, a wool shop and a farm market.

At Beaver Brook Farm, we are committed to preserving the environment and producing goods of the highest quality. All animals are raised outdoors, without the use of hormones or antibiotics. The Farm produces several varieties of sheeps' and cows' milk cheeses, both fresh and aged, as well as raw milk, yogurt and ice cream. Pasture-raised lamb is available in a variety of cuts, too. Beaver Brook also uses the wool from the sheep to spin into yarn.

We are proud to bring our products directly from the farm to you, from our sweaters and vests, to our farm-fresh sheep and cow's milk cheeses. Customers can call ahead to arrange a time to visit the farm, or farm items can be purchased at the West Hartford and Greenwich Farmers' Markets. Call for days and times.
