At Urban Rustic they strive to bring the community the best of local farmers and producers along with reliably made staples from farther afield. They feature bio-dynamic, organic and sustainably produced foods and feel that knowledge of the sources of our sustenance is key to eating healthy and eating well. At Urban Rustic, they know where their food comes from. By bringing food producers to the table to speak about their work, and providing tear sheets and photo essays about our goods, they hope to illuminate the story lines behind our meals.

Urban Rustic is a labor of love in the neighborhood they call home. They've built the floors, shelves and counters from Adirondack wood they have harvested and milled. They buy their electricity from wind-powered sources, their fresh foods from local farmers, and have abandoned the use of unnecessary disposables.
