USDA Farmers' Market
About USDA Farmers' Market
Open seasonally June - November.
The USDA Farmers' Market boasts fruit, vegetable, herb, and bakery vendors from Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Virginia and attracts over 2,000 shoppers each market day. The first Friday of each month, the market will host a cooking demonstration, featuring a fresh market product, led by a chef from one of the DC regions most exciting restaurants. The market will also host live music and other special guests throughout the season.
The USDA Farmers' Market is an integral part of the Department’s commitment to supporting direct marketing opportunities for small and midsize producers and developing viable local and regional food systems. In addition to an outside seasonal market, the USDA also hosts a weekly winter market between November and March on Wednesday afternoons in the cafeteria.
