At Long & Scott Farms, we run our business according to the idea “The farmer is the original environmentalist.” We have evolved in the production of quality produce by using hybrid seed varieties for higher yields (No GMO's). In addition, we practice integrated pest management with intense scouting of crops and release beneficial insects to reduce chemical use. By using these beneficial insects, our productivity improves more each year. For instance, lady bugs and lace wings are released to eliminate aphids and white fly. If harsh chemicals were used, the “good” bugs would be killed off along with the “bad’ ones. Also, by using griding and soil sampling, we have been able to achieve a more precise fertilization program and using tail and surface water has enabled us to conserve our natural resources.

Scott's Country Market, conveniently located at Long & Scott Farms, is the home of Scott's Zellwood Sweet Gourmet Corn and Scott's Maze Adventures. The Market offers a variety of freshly harvested produce from the farm and local growers, potted plants and sod. We also carry our own line of delicious jams, jellies, relishes and syrups and our customized, one-of-a-kind gift boxes and baskets are sure to please everyone on your list. The Market is seasonal. We open twice a year, every spring in May through the first part of June and then again in October and November. Mother Nature and the harvest determine the exact dates. Please check back for updates.
