The owners describe their unique establishment in these words. "We opened Arbor Brewing Company in July of ‘95 as a couple of starry eyed, twenty-something beer lovers with dreams of making good beer and food, new friends, and a positive impact on our community. Over the years our community and our staff have changed as have our own interests, focus, and values. And along the way, our menu has evolved to reflect those changes. When we became vegetarians, we tripled our selection of vegetarian items. As we have learned more about the slow food movement, we have moved our business away from inhumane and environmentally devastating factory farms. And since helping to found Think Local First, we have become increasingly committed to buying as many products and services as possible from other local, independent businesses that share these values."
