About Tender Greens
The idea behind Tender Greens is to create a local gathering place where you can go for the home cooked meal you crave, listen to great music and relax in a space that feels comfy like home and cool like the corner spot where your friends meet after work.
The Tender Greens team believes that there should be a conscious connection between the one who eats the food and the source of that sustenance. These days people eat on the run. If they can't slow you down, at least they can tell you a little about what you are eating.
The majority of their produce comes fresh picked daily from Scarborough Farms in Oxnard, where Wayne, Anne, and the rest of their family grow things naturally. When they have to buy things that Scarborough doesn't plant, a handful of small, local farms who believe that picking at the peak of ripeness leads to a more delicious and healthier dish for you, are turned to. Tender Greens uses organic ingredients wherever and whenever they can.
Their beef comes from grain-fed hormone free cows and chickens are raised on the range of Petaluma County, not in cages. They are nourished with grain instead of hormone-rich feed. And, of course, their tuna is caught in the Pacific.
