SEEDS
About SEEDS
The SEEDS market gardens, located in downtown Durham, are managed by DIG (Durham Inner-City Gardeners), a youth-driven urban gardening program that teaches sustainable gardening, healthy business practices and responsible leadership. SEEDS grows a wide variety of annual and perennial vegetables, fruits, herbs, and cut flowers that they sell at the Durham Farmer's Market and to local restaurants. SEEDS teaches respect for life, for the earth and for each other through gardening and growing food. Located in the heart of Downtown Durham, they are an urban sanctuary focused on promoting principles and practice of sustainable agriculture, organic gardening, food security and environmental steward ship. They offer volunteering, educational programs and more. Visit their website for more information.Near This Listing
