A charming inn with a collection of elegant and casual dining rooms, the restaurant at the Old Yarmouth inn has established itself as one of the premiere dining experiences on Cape Cod. The Old Yarmouth Inn places emphasis on offering the freshest and most seasonally appropriate items and as a result the menu changes seasonally. Chef Woodbury prepares a number of exciting dishes, such as Veal Saltimbocca, Baked Sea Scallops Galician Style, Roast Maple Leaf Farm Half Duck, Warm Gorgonzola Steak Salad, Sirloin Steak Tips, New England Clam Chowder and more. In the past few years, Old Yarmouth has become more and more focused on sustainable products. For four years, it has not purchased any Canadian seafood as a way of supporting the local fishing industry. The restaurant started a small herb garden this year, growing its own basil, thyme, cilantro and sage. It also added a new item on the menu that features cheese from small dairy farms in New England. As expressed by its proprietor, Old Yarmouth is "in constant dialogue with our largest purveyors to encourage them to buy from free-range producers, and will be making the transition especially to free-range milk, grass-fed veal and eggs from cage-free eggs."
