John Ash & Company was the first restaurant in Northern California wine country to focus on local, seasonal ingredients to create dishes complementing the wines made in the region. Their menus offer an exceptional array of options, including small-plate selections for a lighter meal or for trying a number of their delectable specialties. If you're new to wine, or wish to be adventurous, their wine steward will be pleased to suggest some options. Or, try one of their popular wine flights: three, two-ounce pours that showcase several different varietals. With his own distinctive stamp of excellence, executive Chef Thomas Schmidt carries on the tradition of author, food and wine educator, and renowned chef John Ash in deriving wine country cuisine from local seasonal foods. The restaurant's menus change seasonally to incorporate the yearlong cornucopia of local, fresh foods that arrive from the area's produce and livestock farms, orchards, and ocean. Their chefs work personally with more than 30 Sonoma County farmers and food producers and tend to the restaurant's own on-site fruit, vegetable, and herb gardens to secure the best and freshest ingredients for their menus.Near This Listing
