Draper Farms
About Draper Farms
Draper Farms is certified organic by Marin Organic Certified Agriculture. Since 1995, three generations of the Draper family have been operating the farm together. Among the heirloom vegetables are dozens of varieties of tomato, eggplant, and pepper. Carrots, squash, corn, beans, beets, herbs and leaf vegetables are cultivated organically as well - often in unusual varietals. New crops are introduced every year, such as Siberian tomatoes or soybeans. Some organic herb plants (like Greek oregano) are sometimes available. Special plots, such as cotton or peanuts, are planted for the visits of school children from the local community. Produce is offered for sale to restaurants and caterers. Public access to the farm is through a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) project; membership is open, and there are no initiation fees. Members usually harvest the reasonably priced fresh organic food for themselves. Local untreated honey is also produced from a small apiary, and a flock of hens provide free run eggs.Near This Listing
