Staubitz Market
About Staubitz Market
Established in 1917 by John Staubitz, Staubitz Market is one of the oldest food establishments still operating in New York. John McFadden and his son, John McFadden, Jr. now own Staubitz Market. It has been in the McFadden family for over 40 years. As part of its charm, the store still maintains the old-fashioned warmth of sawdust strewn floors as well as many other original features from the turn of the century. Evolving to meet the demands of today's conscientious consumers, Staubitz Market boasts a notable selection of all-natural and organic meats from such traditional fare as beef, pork, and poultry to other more exotic offerings such as bison, ostrich, venison, and wild boar. The market has been featured in Time Out New York and New York Press, where it was voted Best Brooklyn Butcher. Beyond meats, the market also offers a selection of fine imported and domestic cheeses.Near This Listing
