Axe's seasonal menu is culturally diverse, uncomplicated yet refined, and highlights beautiful local farm direct organic ingredients. Chef and owner Joanna Moore describes it as soul food from California that nourishes both the body and the spirit. Axe is committed to creating and sustaining a healthy, wholesome, and diverse population and planet. We are doing this by supporting local organic agriculture and earth-friendly businesses. We buy organic seasonal products directly from local farmers, and deliver our kitchen scraps for compost back to the farm. We buy bulk staples, such as grains, flour, dried beans and oils, from an organic distributor, and we source as many organic products as possible including wine and beer.
