Katz Coffee
About Katz Coffee
Founded in 2003, Katz Coffee is a small-batch, custom roasting operation based in Houston, Texas. Katz Coffee specializes in custom and proprietary blending and roasting for some of Houston’s most highly-acclaimed and discriminating chefs and restaurant and coffeehouse owners. Our goal is to achieve perfection in every cup. This commitment starts with sourcing the highest quality "green" beans and the close and careful attention we take in the roasting process. We then help you make the perfect cup for your customers with menu consulting, equipment sales, service and training. Our mission at Katz Coffee is to provide our clients with the finest coffee from sources that prioritize environmental responsibility and are Fair Trade Certified. As Katz Coffee’s founder and owner, I have traveled throughout Central America’s coffee-growing regions to learn about the operations of coffee growers from small farmers and plantation owners and to develop relationships with suppliers whose standards align with our mission. We work to ensure that coffee beans of the highest quality find their way back to our roaster and to our customers. Being a sustainable business also means minimizing our impact on our environment. At Katz Coffee, our beans start out green, our team color is green, and we also work green. Not only do we recycle all cardboard and paper, but local farmers pick up our chaff (a by-product of the roasting process) and the burlap bags the coffee beans ship in to enrich their compost and protect their soil. Also available to purchase at: Midtown Farmers Market, Houston Farmers Market, and Sunset Valley Farmers Market.Near This Listing
