About People's Food Co-op

People's Food Co-op supports the local community by buying locally-grown and locally-produced goods when available. The store features locally-raised meats as often as possible and seasonal local produce, and the co-op team supports local farmers and businesses through preferential buying. All of the meat, dairy, and egg products follow the same protocol, "local first" (all-natural, pasture-raised.) Anyone can shop at PFC, and anyone can join. Aside from the store, the co-op also houses Cafe Verde, the only exclusively free trade coffee bar in Ann Arbor, and the Fabulous Food Bar & Deli. Drop by Cafe Verde any day of the week for a cup of joe and a snack from a selection of cakes, cookies, pastries, bagels, and sandwiches. Each day the Fabulous Food Bar serves three soups, a chicken or fish entree, a vegetarian entree, rice, beans, greens and a tasty side dish.
