One of many consumer cooperatives started during the years of the Great Depression, the Hanover Consumer Cooperative Society now operates the Co-op Food Stores, Co-op Community Food Market, Co-op Service Center, and Commissary Kitchen. These businesses are operated for the benefit of our members and community. This Co-op is among the oldest and most successful of its kind in the country. More than 240 local and regional farms and food producers supply the Co-op.
