Welcome to Fowl Play Farm, on the site of a historic 19th century dairy farm in Woodstock, VT which borders on the beautiful and scenic Appalachian Trail. All of our chickens are raised free range with lots of love and TLC from Alex and Elise, our children and the "proprietors" of Fowl Play Farm. Our philosophy -- HAPPY CHICKENS LAY BETTER EGGS! They eat an all natural diet and are the beneficiaries of some delicious Kitchen leftovers. The eggs are gathered by hand twice daily. Our heritage breed chickens are raised by hand by the family and they free range year round, supplemented with natural grains, fruits and vegetables. Our hens are include Buff Orpingtons, Speckled Sussex, Silver-Laced Wyandottes, and Ameraucanas. Each dozen is a mix of several distinctive shell colors including beiges, browns, speckled, blue and green. Our chickens are raised without hormones, steroids, or animal byproducts. We do not use pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers anywhere on the farm or in the garden. Please visit us at the Mt. Tom Farmer's Market in Woodstock, VT.
