About Barnes Farms

The Barnes and Mathis families have been raising hogs within a 2 mile radius of their current location since the 1800's. For years the family has been producing market hogs, cattle, goats, chickens, rabbits, grain and hay. Since the natural pork was the staple of the operation, and while having such a wonderful customer base selling live hogs, they decided to branch into selling finished product meat cuts and sausages. The animals are raised with access to pasture, are fed a well balanced diet of home-grown grains and enjoy a natural environment with fresh air, sunshine and soil. Barnes Farms also grows sweet corn, watermelons, peas and okra. Barnes Farms products are available at the Memphis Farmers Market and at the West Tennessee Farmers Market in Jackson, TN. Try the hot sausage - a customer and chef favorite!
