About Shalom Orchard Organic Farm

Shalom Orchard Organic Farm and Winery is a certified organic farm and everything they grow or produce is according to organic standards. They primarily grow organic fruit - apples, blueberries, cherries and raspberries - for their wines or for wholesale or retail sale from the farm. They also grow vegetables for retail sale through their CSA or from the farm store. They raise chickens for eggs and meat, as well as registered Rambouillet sheep for wool and meat. They have beautiful yarns for sale, both handspun and organically mill-spun sportweight, both in natural colors and plant-dyed, as well as tanned pelts and fleece. Their Farmstay apartment offers two bedrooms, the larger bedroom upstairs and smaller bedroom downstairs. Also downstairs is a sitting room with a double futon couch, fully equipped kitchen, and bathroom. Also upstairs is another sitting room which houses our extensive library. The apartment can sleep six easily and they have two twin size airbeds as well. They welcome pets and children. Television, WiFi, a VHS and DVD player are available. Shalom Orchard Organic Farm and Winery is committed to educating others about organic farming and welcome school groups and individual tours. They participate in the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners apprenticeship program, and they would love to share their enthusiasm with you!
