About Ranui Gardens

Ranui Gardens is located between two of the great ski ranges of the world; nestled at the western end of the Uinta mountains looking west to the Wasatch range. Located in Summit County, Utah, we freeze almost every month of the year and still manage to run a commercial herb and vegetable farm supporting over 20 CSA members, several grocery stores and restaurants in the surrounding communities as well as two farmer's markets. Our average number of frost free days are just over 60. We have been sustainably growing, using methods set forth by Rudolf Steiner, since 1984. We grow fresh culinary and medicinal herbs, vegetables, and flowers. We love punishment, that is why we became farmers. Although the hours are non-stop through the summer, we get all winter to ski deep powder snow. Ranui Gardens, pronounced Rah-New-E, means the place of the Sun God in the Maori language of the native New Zealanders. We are Utah’s Original Organic Grower and continue to grow fresh produce, cut flowers and herbs for our local markets. Please call and harrass us for more information.
