About Cris-Co Farms

Sells Animal Welfare Approved lamb. Dennis and Terry Robbins raise Animal Welfare Approved sheep at Cris-Co Farms in Gray, Tennessee. The Robbins have a very close- knit family and even named the farm by combining the names of their sons, Chris and Cody. However, Terry said the name causes some confusion. People often ask, “Why’d you name your farm after LARD?” The Robbins are proud that they raise their animals as close to nature as possible. Terry says, “Animals are treated liked part of the family. We treat them like we would want to be treated. We name all of our animals. I baby them too much, but that’s alright.” Dennis and Terry sell their ewes straight from the farm for breeding and they sell their lamb through regional outlets. On applying for Animal Welfare Approved, Terry says, “Even though I know I take excellent care of my animals I wanted others to know that as well. When AWA came out to audit the farm, we felt better knowing that we had been approved. I’m proud to be a part of the program. ”
