Ninth Street Bakery has been doing business with the community and the earth in mind since they fired their first oven in 1981. Stop by the cafe for sandwiches, pastries, cookies, artisan breads, salads, coffee, beer and Bull City Booch - their very own house-brewed kombucha! The bakery uses local and seasonal produce in their salads and sandwiches whenever possible, and bakes their breads in-house from scratch using organic, unbleached flour and locally-sourced ingredients free of chemicals and pesticides. Their House Blend coffee comes from a local roaster and is shade grown, fair trade and organic. Extending their sustainability efforts beyond their foods, Ninth Street Bakery also works to minimize waste in their catering and wholesale operation and prioritize recyclable materials.
