Dirt Candy
About Dirt Candy
What is dirt candy? Vegetables, of course. When you eat a vegetable you’re eating little more than dirt that’s been transformed by plenty of sunshine and rain into something that’s full of flavor: Dirt Candy.
Dirt Candy opened in October, 2008. Zucchini, Broccolini, Corn - each menu item bears the name of its star ingredient. Chef Amanda Cohen's "dishes are so earnest in their embrace of a single ingredient that you find yourself stopping to really think about that vegetable, as if for the first time,” gushed The New Yorker.
