Dos Toros is serious about sustainability. It's better for the food, better for you, better for them, and better for the planet. They work with these ideas in mind through nearly all elements of their business. Their chicken is locally raised, and fed a vegetarian diet with no hormones or antibiotics. Their pinto beans are grown organically, and the black beans (and hopefully pintos soon) are sourced locally and organically through Cayuga Pure Organics. Utensils, cups, napkins, and bags are all biodegradable, kitchen food waste is composted and they recycle bottles and cans. All of the cleaning products are non toxic, and made from biodegradable plant and mineral based ingredients. Even the extra groovy wood used for the tables, chairs, bench, and wainscoting is all reclaimed from a barn upstate. The tin on the ceiling is also reclaimed. And they get all of their electricity from renewable energy sources.
