About Living Stones Farm

Living Stones Farm, located in Ann Arbor, is a faith-based social enterprise which provides transitional job training and empowerment opportunities for those returning from incarceration. Returning citizens learn life and business skills in an atmosphere of acceptance and accountability. Our work in sustainable agriculture, community service, and the arts develops economic and entrepreneurial confidence that are central to our financial self-sufficiency and mission. We work in and learn the business of commercial agriculture, which contributes to both the security of our local food system, and to the sustainability of Living Stones Farm. A strong work ethic, restitution, acceptance, accountability, responsibility, decency, integrity, and compassion are all a part of what is taught and lived. We are not a certified organic farm, however we use organic farming practices with a focus on educating the community on how and why we grow the way we do.
