A local favorite for over 23 years, Javier's offers an unique combination of upscale Peruvian Cuisine, South American tapas and traditional American favorites. A warm, welcoming dining room filled with lush plants, Peruvian arts and crafts and a cozy wine bar instantly make you feel at home. Enjoy the freshest ingredients purchased locally and from sustainable sources. With 99 percent of their produce and eggs sourced from organic and/or local farmers, wild and local seafood, Fair Trade Peruvian coffee, locally made sausages, natural whole wheat breads, wines and cheeses, they seek out the best ingredients from their area, and beyond when necessary. We also strive to deal with waste responsibly. By using only recycled paper products and biodegradable (sugarcane and cornstarch) to-go containers, cups and straws, composting all of our vegetative waste in our home garden and organically grow fruits and herbs for the restaurant. We are very water conscious and participate in Sarasota County's Water Matters Program.
