The Vegetarian House is an organic vegan restaurant serving dishes informed by Asian cuisines. Inspired by The Supreme Master Ching Hai, a worldly renowned spiritual teacher and humanitarian, the restaurant began operation in 1994 with a vision of a world where all beings, humans and animals could live together in peace, love and harmony. They serve only fresh, organic produce from local sources whenever possible. Many of their products, such as sauces, bean curd and noodles are made in house from scratch, using organic ingredients that are free of preservatives. In an effort to reduce their carbon footprint, they also use solar energy generated from panels on the roof and use energy efficient lighting and appliances. Closed the 3rd Tuesday of every month.
