Spinach Creek Farm
About Spinach Creek Farm
We started growing vegetables and selling at the Tannana Valley Farmers Market in 1995. We have a fenced 10-acre field and have built two greenhouses and a cold frame. We love to provide fresh good tasting local produce directly to the customers. We enjoy the homestead life style, maintaining and caring for the land, and being self-employed. Our produce is grown naturally. We use fish fertilizer and cover crops to maintain the soil; compost is put in the greenhouse. We do not use herbicides or pesticides. Rotation and floating row fabrics are the ways we control most pests. We spend lots of time hand weeding and cultivating. Our produce is available at the Tanana Valley Farmers Market, starting in July. The CSA starts in late June and goes until mid September. Some produce is sold at the Home Grown Market, and the Lemongrass restaurant and the Bamboo Panda restaurant buy cabbage.Near This Listing
