About Bayou Farm

At Bayou Farm, we raise chickens for meat and eggs and sheep with an eye toward improved ecological practices. Through our pastured poultry program and our rotational grazing management, we hope to preserve and develop sustainable farming practices in South Louisiana. We also raise pastured pork and heritage breed turkey. Our animals are never given hormone or non-therapeutic antibiotics. We process all birds on the farm in our state-inspected facility. We sell our meat and eggs directly off the farm, through order, pick-up and delivery, and at the Freetown Farmers Market on Wednesdays 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. See our website for more information.
