Phillips Farms is a family-owned business based on old-fashioned values, beliefs and a lot of hard work. The farm raises fruits and produces jams, spreads and cider. In the spring, summer and fall, their farm stand is a showcase for all of their fresh farm-grown seasonal fruits, vegetables and plants where you can also buy all-natural jams and fruit spreads. In addition, the farm offers Pick Your Own strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, black raspberries, blackberries, peaches, apples, and pumpkins. The farm also participates in NYC's Greenmarket program and attends local farmers markets, listed on their website. Phillips Farms uses the sustainable approach of integrated pest management (IPM), controlling pests and crop disease by methods such as rotating my crops and disrupting the mating patterns of insects. To minimize chemical use, they employ professional crop scouts who monitor their fields and orchard. The application of pesticides is used only as a last resort.
