Wholesome Country Farm is a small family farm located in Dacula, Georgia, about 40 miles from downtown Atlanta. Farmer Julie Porath is proud of their laying hen operation, which is certified by AWA: “Our hens are truly free-range,” says Julie. “They are free to roam and forage around the farm as they wish, with access to over four acres of open pastures and tree lined areas.” “We aim to be good stewards of our land, using sustainable farming practices that produce healthy vegetables, animals and value added products for our family, local community and future generations,” says Julie. “As well as being certified by Animal Welfare Approved, all of our livestock feed is sourced from an organic soy-free feed supplier.” Wholesome Country Farm markets its AWA-certified eggs and other produce directly to the consumer, offering scheduled collection from the farm, as well as online ordering through The Cumming Harvest Locally Grown online market.
