Local Food Association
About Local Food Association
The Local Food Association (LFA) is a national trade association of sellers, commercial buyers, and other supportive businesses working to increase market access and market share for sustainably produced local food all across the United States. The LFA facilitates collaborative approaches to issues of common concern to both sellers and buyers of local food, building on the bedrock principles of supporting community-centered businesses, maintaining healthy relationships in commerce and nature, and increasing mindfulness in food decisions. Through best-practices exchange, continuing education, accreditation and certification programs, and public policy advocacy, the LFA supports its members' interests by providing strategic coordination to a national movement with deep grassroots origins. The LFA defines local food as food that is sustainably produced, processed, distributed and consumed within regionally-specific areas.Near This Listing
